Who We Are

The Ottawa-Sandusky-Seneca (OSSJSMD) County Joint Solid Waste management District was created under the authority of H.B. 592 in 1988. As part of the District's responsibility, a solid waste management plan was crafted in an effort to 1) identify solid waste generation, 2) identify recycling/reduction efforts, 3) identify ultimate disposal of wastes, 4) to establish a "plan" of programs and activities which would enable the District to achieve the goals of the 1995 State Plan and provide for the facilities required to dispose of solid wastes generated in the District.
